Kick Off & Onboarding
We're excited to kick off our beta phase in early November! We'll reach out soon to schedule a 1:1 onboarding call [30-45 min] with one of our beta guides.
During the call, we'll walk you through the app, answer any questions you have, and hear your thoughts on re-commerce and your experiences with it.
If you were part of our alpha test, the focus will be on getting you familiar with the latest version of the app.

Sell Only Items You Own
While you can be curious about the worth of everything. Please only sell items you personally own. Avoid scanning fraudulent or counterfeit items.
Correct the Model
If our algorithm misidentifies an item, help us improve by correcting it within the app. Providing feedback to our model also allows you to get a more accurate price.
Conscious Selling
Only click "sell" if you truly intend to sell the item at the suggested price. We’ll randomly select items from the sold list to buy from you, while all other items can still be inventoried.
Image Guidelines
Take up to 3 photos that provide sufficient details (e.g., model, brand, specifications, unique characteristics, scratches). For example, if you’re selling a laptop, one photo should capture the system’s specifications. The more details, the more accurate the price.
App Usage Analytics
By participating, you agree to let us store pictures of your items and use them for further development of the platform. Please make sure you take pictures of what you want to show us and avoid people or personally identifiable data such as names, addresses etc.
Impact Through Investing
We invite you to explore our investment options after selling an item, such as donating to NGOs or investing in assets of your choice through reliable partners. While this feature is only in simulation mode it nonetheless gives us important insight into what you prefer for future releases.

We want to change this by providing a platform that transforms re-commerce by giving everyone the chance to seamlessly resell, reinvest, and repurpose items with just a few clicks. How does Cirkular determine the price of the item I sell?Cirkular determines your item’s price using a combination of AI-powered analysis and market insights. Our technology assesses the item’s brand, condition, age, and unique features from the images you upload. We then match this information with current demand across various resale channels and partners. From the expected resale price, we deduct the costs necessary to provide the Cirkular service (including app development, personnel, logistics, compliance, partner management, customer service, innovation). This approach ensures you receive an effort-minimizing offer. A price that hopefully makes you happy provides us sufficient resources to operate and partners incentives to be excited about working with all of us.

Can I also buy used items via Cirkular?Currently, we focus on helping users sell their items much more easily. While purchasing directly through Cirkular isn’t available yet, we’re exploring options to make this possible in the future. Stay tuned!

How does Cirkular verify if an item is authentic, like distinguishing between genuine and replica designer goods?Cirkular uses multiple methods to verify authenticity: Trusted Partners: We work with established partners who purchase items from us, each with robust authentication processes in place. AI-Driven Detection: Our AI can differentiate between authentic and replica items using visual analysis and pattern recognition, helping detect possible fraud early on. User-Driven Integrity: Cirkular is built on trust, starting with a nucleus of verified users and invite-only growth. Each user has a Cirkular Score, reflecting the accuracy of their listings. High scores mean better offers, while low scores from inaccurate listings may result in lower price offers or blocking of access. Furthermore, individuals who recommended ill-behaving users to our platform will also see a reduction in their score, encouraging a thoughtful selection of new users. This combination ensures authenticity and integrity across the platform, rewarding honesty and transparency.

How does Cirkular verify that electronic products are fully functional and in good working condition?At Cirkular, we’re committed to honesty, trust, and transparency. We rely on users to provide accurate information about item condition, including cases where our AI’s prediction may be overly optimistic. For example, if our AI predicts a hair dryer is in top condition but it’s been heavily used, we trust users to adjust this. Our AI also detects signs of wear through visual and contextual cues, helping identify potential issues. Users who provide accurate information see their Cirkular Score increase, while attempts to misrepresent items may lower their score. This is a learning journey we’re on together with all of you out there, and by prioritizing honesty, we’re working to make re-commerce simpler, better, and actual fun.

How does the Cirkular Score work?The Cirkular Score is our way of promoting trust, honesty, and a transparent community on the platform. Only by being honest with each other, we will be able to provide an experience that makes selling as simple as buying. Here's how it works: Accuracy of Your Listings: When you provide accurate information about your items—including condition, authenticity, and any relevant details—your Cirkular Score increases. This reflects your reliability as a seller. We and our partners verify the items you sell. If it largely matches your descriptions, your score goes up. Impact of Inaccurate Information: Providing significantly inaccurate information, such as listing a broken iPhone as “very good condition,” will result in an immediate decrease in your Cirkular Score. Repeated instances of smaller discrepancies—like listing an iPhone with 64GB as 128GB or describing a scratched desk as “like new”—will also lower your score over time, as our system detects these patterns. However, occasional minor errors won’t significantly impact your score if your next listings are accurate. A lower score results in less favourable offers or blocking of the access to Cirkular. Consistency and loyalty: The longer you’re part of Cirkular and the more active you are in the app, the stronger your Cirkular Score becomes. Consistent engagement gives us more indicators of your reliability and trustworthiness, enhancing your score over time. Better Offers with Higher Scores: A higher Cirkular Score leads to better price offers for your items. It's our way of rewarding users who consistently provide accurate information and who are realistic about their items. Inviting New Users: When you invite others to join Cirkular your score also goes up – since you strengthen our community. At the same time, the actions of your referral network can also influence your score. If they are also reliable and accurate sellers, it further strengthens your score. If they are clearly violating our transparency and accuracy principles, it also reduces your score. This encourages thoughtful invitations and helps grow a reliable community. The Cirkular Score is designed to enhance trust, honesty and transparency within our community. By being accurate with your listings, enjoy benefits like better offers and a strong reputation on the platform.

How does the AI/app determine the selling price and payout for items without a well-known brand or specific origin e.g. fast-fashion, discounter ware?We determine prices using three main factors: AI Expert-Level Item Recognition: Our AI has a vast knowledge on various items, including brands, styles, quality, and other value-influencing details. When you upload an image, our AI can assess if an item is high or low quality, branded or unbranded, vintage or new, and even harder-to-see details like size, age, or wear. It’s like consulting a very seasoned expert who recognizes and evaluates items instantly. Market Demand & Resale Potential: Based on the item’s attributes, another AI assesses the best channels for resale—whether through major reselling platform partners, local second-hand shops, flea markets, recycling specialists, or even donation partners. The price depends on the condition, demand, and likely resale value across these markets. For example, a well-used fast-fashion item might be matched to a recycling partner with very limited or even no resale value but at least free pick-up. Our service: Furthermore, our system factors in the time and costs we will have with each item’s resale. The price you see reflects the expected resale price minus our costs - ensuring a “no worry, zero efforts experience” for you. Based on these inputs, we provide an offer that balances resale value, demand, and efforts to ensure the most convenient experience for you.

How does the levelling system of Cirkular work? How is it connected to my Cirkular score?Cirkular’s leveling system and Cirkular Score are interconnected but serve different purposes. While both reflect your engagement, some actions affect pricing and trust metrics, while others are for fun and learning. For example, accurately listing item details directly impacts your Cirkular Score, which influences price offers, while quizzes and challenges contribute to your level but not directly to pricing. The leveling system highlights your overall contribution to the community, celebrating your positive impact. In contrast, specific dimensions of the Cirkular Score focus on trustworthiness, reliability, and honesty, though we keep these criteria confidential to maintain fair play within the platform.

How does it work if I add an item to my inventory and sell it only 1 year later?When you’re ready to sell, confirm the item in the app, and the price will update based on current market conditions. Prices are refreshed monthly, assuming the item’s condition remains the same.

Can I correct the prediction of the AI? Can I suggest a different price?Yes, you’re encouraged to correct the AI’s prediction if it doesn’t fully match your item. We trust you as the user to know your item best. Simply adjust details like condition or specifications directly in the app, and the price will be recalculated accordingly. Directly changing the price isn’t possible, as it’s determined based on market insights. By providing accurate information and clear images, you’ll receive the most accurate offer that reflects the item’s current value and demand based on all the possible selling channels we monitor.

Can I sell really everything, even items that are worth a few euros?Yes, you can list (almost) anything on Cirkular, including low-value items – check our current item categories here. However, for items with very low resale value, we may only be able to offer recycling or donation options rather than a direct cash payout. Our goal is to give every item a second life, whether through resale, recycling, or social impact channels. We also have a minimum selling limit of €25, so we encourage bundling low-value items together or combining them with higher-value items to reach this threshold.

Can I sell items in bulk?Absolutely! Simply bundle items in the app, and if you have larger needs (like dissolving a household), contact customer support to coordinate.

Does Cirkular pay me for every item, even if it may take longer to find a buyer or if it is not in the best shape?Our vision is to give every item a second life and have users rewarded for doing so. Based on the item’s type and condition, we aim to match it with suitable channels, whether resale, recycling, or donation. This means some items may have a lower offer or, in some cases, no offer at all, reflecting true market demand. Users will know what is worth something, and what is worth nothing. In addition, we will work hard to unlock more possible selling channels in the future e.g. usage of electronic parts, worn-down clothing as supply for innovative upcycling partners. For now, we’re focusing on select categories like electronics, books, and sporting gear, with a primary emphasis on working items. As we grow, we’ll continuously expand our partner network and item categories to accommodate more types of goods and conditions. Long story short, you will receive a price estimate for every item, but availability for instant purchase will vary. By scanning and listing different items, you’re showing us the direction to identify new categories and partnerships to pursue, bringing us one step closer to making Cirkular a platform for everything.

Can I cancel my sale, and if so, how long?You can cancel any sale before pick-up or shipping. Just cancel in the app, return any received payment, and the item stays with you.

Who buys the products I sell on Cirkular?When you sell on Cirkular, you’re selling directly to us. We purchase your items and then work to match each one with our extensive network of trusted partners, including specialized resellers, local second-hand shops, recycling centers and social partners. This means we handle all the risks and efforts, making selling simple and hassle-free for you. We are doing our best to provide you with better and better prices as we grow and mature. Your support is essential to help us achieve scale and activate further revenue streams. This will benefit all of us, as we will be able to raise the price level, we can offer to everyone.

What happens after I sold my item, how is the logistics working?After you sell an item on Cirkular, you have three convenient options for getting it to us: Self-Packing and Drop-Off: Pack the item yourself with your own materials and drop it off at a post office or Packstation using the prepaid label we provide. Packstation or Post Office Drop-Off with Packing Assistance: We’ll send you a QR code, allowing you to bring the item as-is to a Packstation or post office where it will be packed for you. Pick-Up Service: Choose a time window in the app, and a Cirkular rider will come directly to you. Simply hand over the item as-is, and we’ll take care of the packing and delivery. Additionally, if you’re willing to hold onto the item a bit longer until we find the ideal buyer, you can earn a storage fee, collected directly in the Cirkular app. Once you’ve accumulated €5 or more, you can cash it out.

Can I see who bought my item?Currently, Cirkular doesn’t share buyer information directly with sellers. Once you sell an item, we handle all logistics and match it with the right buyer through our partner network to ensure a smooth and secure transaction. However, we’re actively exploring ways to make the full lifecycle of each item transparent in an anonymous and compliant way, so you can eventually see where your item ends up and its impact on the circular economy.

When do I receive the money from Cirkular once I sell? How does Cirkular transfer the money?Payments are sent instantly after sale confirmation, directly to your PayPal or bank account.

How are you handling taxes and helping me keep track of critical milestones?We make tax tracking simple by providing a summary of your sales and any relevant tax information directly in the app. At key milestones—like reaching certain sales thresholds e.g. 2000 Euro or 30 sold items in Germany —we’ll notify you and provide guidance to help you stay compliant with tax obligations.

Do I have to pay back any money if my item is sold for less than expected?No, the payment you receive is final. Cirkular takes on all the risks of reselling.

Does pick-up cost extra, are there any hidden fees?No, there are no hidden fees with Cirkular. Pick-up, processing, and logistics are all included—no extra cost to you. We operate on a ‘maximum convenience, minimum effort’ principle, ensuring the offer you receive minimizes your efforts. If you prefer to pack and send the item yourself, we’ll add extra credits to your Cirkular account, which you can cash out once your balance reaches €5 or more.
