The Cirkular Score is a dynamic rating system that reflects your accuracy and engagement within the Cirkular platform. It is calculated based on various factors related to your activity, with the aim of:

• Promoting Honesty & Accuracy: Encourage honest and accurate item information when cataloging and selling.

• Ensuring Platform Viability: Ensure Cirkular’s simplicity and trust-oriented business approach is viable and sustainable, by minimizing rent-seeking and fraudulent behaviours.

• Supporting Community Values: Foster an open, transparent and honest trading environment, which embraces simplicity and cherishes Cirkular for taking on most of the risks and efforts usually outsourced to users when selling second-hand goods.

3. How Is the Cirkular Score Calculated?

Factors Influencing Your Score:

• Transaction History:

  • Number of successful Transactions: Number of successfully completed sales on the platform.

  • Number of items inventoried: Number of items in your inventory.

  • Cancellation Rates: Minimizing sales order cancellations.

  • Quality Images: Uploading clear and representative photos of your items.

  • Honest Descriptions: Providing accurate information about item condition and specifications.

• Community & Platform Engagement:

  • Referrals: If you recommend other trustful users onto our platform.

  • Actions of your referrals: Positive usage behaviours of people you referred onto the platform.

  • Feature usage: The more features you use (e.g., creating a digital inventory, exploring investment options, donation, etc.), the more your trust score goes up.

  • Adherence to Terms: Following Cirkular's Terms of Service and other policies.

  • Avoiding Prohibited Items: Refraining from listing banned or illegal items.

Score Calculation:

​

• The specific algorithm used to calculate the Cirkular Score is proprietary.

• Each factor carries a certain weight, and the score is updated regularly based on your recent activities.

• The score is calculated on an open scale. Every users starts with the value of 0. Negative actions lower the score below zero, leading to negative values, while positive actions increase the score above zero. Every user gets a display of their respective score category, which is always calculated relatively to other users. We don’t display concrete values, to prevent re-engineering of our algorithm. Instead we display five categories: strongly below (a very negative score), below (a negative score considerably below zero), on track ( a score around zero), above track (a score considerably higher than zero), amazing (a very positive score)

• Positive actions contribute to increasing your score, while negative actions may decrease it.

• Access to Premium Features:

  • Early access to new platform features.

  • Eligibility for special promotions, events and challenges.

Implications of a Low Cirkular Score:

​

• Limited Pricing Adjustments:

  • Restrictions on adjusting discount preferences.

  • Less favorable pricing offers.

• Leaderboard:

  • Lower placement in our internal gamification system and leaderboard.

• Potential Account Actions:

  • Possible review or suspension of your account for significant violations. Cirkular may review or suspend accounts with consistently low scores or those associated with fraudulent or dishonest activities.

    • In case the first item the user sells heavily diverges from confirmed conditions and specifications the user will be blocked from selling

    • In case more than 50% of items of the first 2 items sold heavily diverge from confirmed conditions and specifications the user will be blocked from selling

    • In case more than 2 items of the first 3-10 items sold heavily diverge from confirmed conditions the user will be blocked from selling

    • In case more than 20% of items sold (from 11 items onwards) heavily diverge from confirmed conditions the user will be blocked from selling

  • Requirement to complete verification steps or corrective actions. Users with low scores may be required to complete additional verification steps or take corrective actions to improve their score and regain full access to platform features.

5. How to Improve or Maintain Your Cirkular Score

• Provide Accurate Information:

  • Ensure all item listings are honest and accurate.

  • Correct or update the AI item predictions if there are inaccuracies – you know best.

• Create value:

  • Complete transactions successfully, repeat.

​

• Engage with the Community and Platform:

  • Refer Cirkular to friends and family, who you trust to be great Cirkular members.

  • Use Cirkular broadly, never thought about investing or digitizing more or your household, maybe it’s a good time to start.

• Adhere to Platform Policies:

  • Follow all guidelines outlined in the Terms of Service.

  • Refrain from prohibited activities or content.

• You can view your current Cirkular Score in your account settings. While the exact numerical score is not displayed to prevent re-engineering of our algorithms, you will see a clear indication of your score level (e.g., "Strongly Below," "Below," "On Track", “Above”, “Amazing”).

• A summary of recent factors affecting your score may be provided to help you understand how to improve or maintain your score.
